Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems(EIFS)
Commonly called synthetic stucco. Usually has a styrofoam backing fastened or glued to the plywood or gypsum board. Most installations have neither building paper or house wrap behind the insulation. The finish coat is an acrylic-based material that is typically 1/16 inch thick

Stucco is a concrete material no less than 1/2 inch thick. Wire mesh is used with a moisture barrier. Absorbs moisture and drains at bottom of material.

This is a rigid metal that protects the lower edge of the roof and directs roof water runoff into gutters or away from the roof.
