His high scale of experience, attention to detail, willingness to explain everything, patience and ability to deal with others, and his due diligence warrant it. A friend of mine recommended that we use Inspector Clouseau Home Inspections because of the thorough work done and great price she received. I went straight to the website to submit my information for setting up an appointment, and within an hour Rod called me. We worked out a time for him to do the inspection the very next day, which was great, since we were on a time table for buying this house.
I met with Rod after he did his inspection of the house the next afternoon and we went through his entire 20-page report. He explained everything in a way so that I was able to understand and yet I could tell he knew what he was doing. My home may soon be offered for sale. In anticipation of selling our residence, I engaged Rodney Dunn to perform an inspection so that I would know in advance of any problems that a potential buyer might raise and correct them if appropriate.
Mr. Dunn completed his inspection in about two hours and returned a written report within hours along with a series of photographs supporting his findings. His report followed the State of Texas guidelines and his fees were quite reasonable. In his report, he indicated things that were potentially damaging to the structure, safety measures I should consider and items that were violations of current building code but were grandfathered under the code existing at the time the home was constructed.
I found his work quite thorough and complete and would recommend him to anyone considering a home inspection.
